How the accounting module works
Going live takes one to two weeks: you set up your companies, the group chart of accounts (micro / standard / NGO, plus the IFRS mappings), document numbering series and the posting rules. From then on every operational document — a sales invoice, a supplier goods receipt, a production consumption note, a depreciation run — writes its own journal entry. Primary accounting (sales, purchase, bank and cash journals) feeds itself from the sales, purchasing and treasury modules. You review, adjust manually where judgement is needed, and close the month. It is self-service throughout: you send documents to nobody, you work directly in the platform.
Who the accounting module fits
The module is sized for limited companies and groups handling anywhere from a few dozen to tens of thousands of documents a month. Micro-companies on turnover tax (1% or 3%) and companies on the 16% profit tax use the same chart of accounts configured differently. In a group, each entity keeps its own books and consolidation happens in the same platform, with intra-group transactions eliminated. Associations, foundations and NGOs get a separate chart of accounts and their own statutory reports. Because it is a cloud subscription, there are no per-module licences and no infrastructure for you to run.
Native links to sales, purchasing, inventory and your bank
Accounting in 4softerp is fed by the rest of the ERP. A sales order becomes an invoice, the delivery relieves stock at moving average cost, and the posting engine simultaneously records the revenue, the output VAT and the cost of goods sold — all under one document number. Purchases and goods receipts create the supplier liability and the stock entry together. Bank reconciliation imports statements (CSV / MT940) and matches receipts to invoices automatically. ANAF e-Factura is wired in natively through SPV, so invoices issued and received land in the journals without exporting and re-importing between applications.
Reports for decisions, not only for ANAF
Beyond the trial balance and the statutory filings (D300, D394, D390, D406 SAF-T, annual financial statements), the reporting module gives you management figures: turnover by cost centre, gross margin per product or business line, customer profitability, budget against actual, a 90-day cash flow projection and consolidated group KPIs. Everything is recalculated from the ledger as you post — you do not wait for month-end close to see where you stand.
